Parent Information and Listening Sessions
As we have previously shared with the public, Fayette County Public Schools has made tremendous progress with the 1965 Desegregation Consent Order achieving partial unitary status. To ensure that all stakeholders are well-informed about the Desegregation Consent Order, we are hosting parent informational and listening sessions where principals and district office staff will discuss recent updates on the consent order and future steps we plan to implement regarding the Consent Order.
These sessions will take place at each school. On Monday, April 29, at 5:30 PM, sessions will be held at East Junior High, Fayette-Ware Comprehensive High, and Oakland Elementary. On Tuesday, April 30, at 5:30 PM, sessions will be held at Buckley-Carpenter Elementary, LaGrange-Moscow Elementary, Southwest Elementary, and West Junior High. We trust your insights and perspectives would contribute to the discussion, and your presence is highly valued. We look forward to seeing you at one of these upcoming sessions.
